HISRA is a result of Peoria, Morton, Washington and Chillicothe Park Districts’ desire to provide quality recreation programs and services to individuals with disabilities and special needs. The Peoria Park District serves as HISRA’s administrative body and processes all employment application. You will find a link below that redirects to their employment application.
HISRA is always looking for part-time and seasonal staff to implement the following programs.
- Social and recreational night and weekend programs that take place in the community and/or at our facility. These range from attending sporting events, bowling, dart club, holiday dances/parties, dinners, creating art, and various other activities.
- Focus Adult Day Program meets year-round Monday-Thursday. This is a dynamic program where participants enjoy grocery shopping, cooking, volunteering, exercising, exploring the community, creating art, socializing and having fun.
- Several different sports teams through Special Olympics and competitive wheelchair basketball.
- Finally, two summer day camp options for children and teens with disabilities.
